Dear readers. You will have noticed I no longer write or post images on this website. This is because I have been hard at work designing my website (www.NicoleMelrose.com) where you can see my latest works in:
…and much more.
My favorite part of my website is my Wed Diary Members only section. That is where I am now updating what I am doing in my personal life and in my creative work life. As a member you also receive printable images and can directly speak to me with requests or just to say hello.
To become a member you simple click the Subscribe icon and it is a small cost of $7.99 (AUS) Per month. I’ve made it affordable due to this hard time with the Covid-19 virus going on.
I do hope those of you who followed me here will chose to continue to follow me on my website as I’ve had such a good experience speaking with and sharing my progressions (and regressions!) with my Darling subscribers.

We are very proud to announce that designer Anie Zanazanian (Anie Z Couture) will be making and styling all the costumes for Ruby and her husband. She will be creating a new iconic yellow dress for Ruby to wear in the feature length film (still 1950’s inspired of course).
Anie Z, (if you don’t already know) is a designer who took Melbourne by storm almost overnight. She has very recently created clothing for renowned Ita Buttrose (Studio Ten, Channel Ten, Click here to watch), had her clothing in the Fashion Aid Runway (as the final featured designer) and is currently travelling Europe with her gowns. It is an honor to have such a passionate and talented designer working on our film! (You can read more about her on Anna Pappas blog HERE)
More exciting news includes work on our new film score. Ken White has traveled all around the world playing music throughout his life! He specializes in jazz and has been working on developing our film score inspired by the classic French jazz sound. Another interesting fact is his band headlined in Sweden for a while back in the day.
Emily Steckly is a writer who has written and edited a few articles in the past for me. Recently she conducted an interview with Billy Minshull-Gardner (The director of Ruby’s Balloon) and I, asking us questions about our ambitions for the film and the plot line for the feature-short. I couldn’t have asked for a better writer.
Emily Steckly has also written various plays and has written a new show playing in the Melbourne Fringe festival, The Afterglow. – “What is death? And why do we mourn the loss of those both familiar and strange?

Yesterday I worked with photographer Yervant Zanazanian for Canon and his wife Anie Zanazanian who designed the beautiful dresses I modelled. I worked beside the lovely gentleman Reese and met the model Teisha who also works with Vicious Models.
In June I will be performing in the play Noises Off as Brooke and Vickie (June 12th-July 21st). If you are interested in tickets the details are in “Current and Upcoming Performances”.
Immediately after the show closes I will be flying to Europe for three weeks where I will visit Sweden and Germany. I will be visiting a good friend of mine who is a terrific artist. Maybe some of you remember the beautiful painting Luke Kopycinski did of me?

Unfortunately because of the rioting in the Ukraine Peter and I had to postpone our travels for the exhibition. It isn’t all horrible news though because when we do eventually travel we will be able to add Paris to the list!
I am also very excited to say I was cast as, Brook in the comedy, Noises Of By Michael Frayn. There is a small chance it may also have to be put on later on in the year because of some complications, but regardless I am excited! If the play is able to go on sooner it should be put on in April sometime.
On April 5th I will also be performing at KADO : The Lost Island of Lesbos.

On the 27th of February Peter and I will be travelling to the Ukraine for one of his exhibitions. After Ukraine we will be staying in London to do a few photo shoots. I am interested in finding some locations in both countries for Peter and I to shoot in. I would love anybody’s recommendations.
I am also working on a film with Billy-Minshull Gardner and Pete Grayson which will be shot between the 20th-22nd of February in time for my travels.
Below are two photographs taken by Peter Coulson. The painting is an art piece by Nathalie Rattner based on a photograph Jessica Eisner took of me. She is a talented artist who resides in both California and Canada.

Depending on who the viewer is more familiar with I have noticed when people look at a photograph they can be very one sided over the photographer and model. The thing is there really is no answer to who was a bigger influence toward getting the perfect picture. You are seeing an image that captures the relationship between the photographer and model.
Photographer: Peter Coulson
This photograph was taken at Peter Janson’s, Rutherglen house. Mr Janson is the wonderful man who started, “Fashion on the Field” at the races. He was sweet enough to let Peter and I work in his home, which is decorated with furniture ranging from the Gilded Age to the 21st Century. My favorite photograph was the most simple picture we took. I am wearing one of Janson’s beautiful sofas… or it is wearing me! But those pictures may take a few more days to be released.

I have arrived home the other week after living in the US for almost a year.
I am excited to be working with Peter Coulson again. We have already done two shoots and we will do another one this coming Tuesday.
I have now been cast in a pilot series and there is talk of another book publication with some of my photographs in it!
