An Inspector Calls

written by J.B Preistly (3 MAY – 19 MAY 2012)

A family engagement celebration is interrupted by the arrival of an inspector of police who informs the family that his visit is due to a young woman’s apparent suicide. When questioned as to how this was relevant to any person here, the inspector shows the man of the house a photograph of the dead woman. From that point on a mystery begins to unfold. Accusations fly back and forth.

Involvements become apparent and guilt begins to take control as the inspector systematically brings down the walls of each of those present. With a story built on morals and an ending that those who have watched still talk about today, An Inspector Calls is a classic in every sense of the word. A gripping drama with lessons learned and one never forgotten.

Death To Carnivale

Death to Carnivale, Written/Directed by Emily Stekly. Nicole Gregurek played the role of Dina: She is a young member of a traveling circus and performs as part of the “Cooch Girls Act”. She also reluctantly sells “tricks” after the show to make extra money. Her ambition is to break free of her slaved life.

“Death to Carnivale! is an alternative horror-gore musical theater production about an old wild west carnival troupe and their showman Barnaby’s spiraling descent into demonic madness.

Exploring the ambiguity of the fringes before and after death and the mystical realm of the American blood-soaked dust bowl, the story follows the unforgiving fate of each sideshow carnie, as they head towards the impending doom that is inevitably brought upon them by the showman’s self affliction and heavy past. Riddled with comic colour and driven by the dark undertones of violence and emotional anguish, Death to Carnivale! is a musical for those searching for a twisted and wickedly entertaining portrayal of the dark side.”
